Replacement outboard lower unit for Johnson/Evinrude V4 (1978–1998), early style. New products only, not refurbished. Includes a 3-year warranty. Shipped by mail securely. Replaces most early Johnson/Evinrude V-4 units from 1978 to 1998 with a 4-1/8 inch circumference diameter. Includes external water inlets and a cavitation plate at the rear. Does not include upper drive shafts. If your old unit has a one-piece drive shaft, you will need to replace it. If your upper shaft is not the new style, you will need to replace it. Does not include a water pump or a shift shaft. You may need to install and adjust your old parts. You may need to purchase a water pump kit if necessary. You can paint the lower unit to match your outboard.
