Outboard lower unit for Mercury and Mariner, 3 and 4 cylinder, 1987 to 2006. Replaces most Mercury lower units for 3 and 4 cylinder 2-stroke models from 1987 and newer, 70 to 125 HP. Brand new. Includes a 3-year warranty. Notes: This unit will not replace a 3-jaw lower unit unless you also change the shift shaft in the midsection. Will not replace models with a plastic water pump housing. Verify your lower unit gear ratio, engine type (Two Stroke Carb, DFI, or 4-stroke), and shaft length. Gear ratio 2.31 is no longer available; 2.33 is the proper replacement. Shaft sizes: L is 20″, XL is 25″, LL is 22.5″. Also verify bullet diameter is 4-1/4.
