Description

This is a new rotary valve.

A rotary valve refers to the water intake used on earlier two-stroke Sea-Doo engines. The rotary valve is actuated by a gear in the engine crankcase between the cylinders.

This motion allows the intake port to open and close at the correct timing with the engine power pulses. The rotary valve provides unrestricted flow to the port. Rotary valve engines are highly efficient, with complete control of airflow in the engine. They also allow an air/fuel mixture to flow without air restriction (compared to a reed valve).
