This foot will not replace a 3-lower-jaw unit unless you modify the shift shaft in the middle section.
Replaces most Mercury 3 & 4 cylinder feet from 1987 and newer, 70–125 HP.
Replaces most Mercury 75–115 HP 4-stroke feet with all serial numbers lower than #1B366822.
This unit works only if you have a circumference of the lower base of the Mercury foot of 4-1/4″ (bullet diameter).
This unit does not replace Mercury foot models that have a plastic water pump housing.
You must verify the Mercury foot ratio (see Table 1 under the description). The 2.31 ratio is no longer available; it is replaced by the 2.33 ratio.
You must verify the brand of your Mercury engine: 2-stroke, 4-stroke, carbureted, or DFI (direct fuel injection).
Verify the length of your Mercury foot shaft (see Table 2). Your model may also indicate the shaft length: L means 20″, and XL means 25″.
We do not offer the LL 22.5″ model.
