LOWER GEARS
The spiral bevel gears are cut and tested on Gleason machines. The forward and pinion gears are made from a higher grade alloy to provide for extended life. Gear wear patterns and backlash specs are verified to be within spec.
UPPER GEARS
Replacement drives are available in 4 gear ratios: 1.47, 1.62, 1.81, and 1.94.
WATERPUMP ASSEMBLY
The water pumps impellers are made of high quality, long lasting, neoprene rubber.
U-JOINTS
They use Heavy Duty U-joints for all four operating gear ratios: 1.47 (20/22), 1.62 (24/24), 1.81 (17/19) and 1.94 (20/24).
OIL SEALS & GASKETS
Our supplier have designed and sourced its own high performance line of these products.
ZINC PARTS
The manufacturer tooling and proprietary designs, only high quality die-cast zinc parts are used.
BEARINGS
All bearings have successfully completed hundreds of hours of stationary dock testing .
BEARING CARRIER
Bearing carriers are made of die-cast anodized aluminum.
SHAFTS
Prop and driveshafts are friction welded bimetal. The gearbox end of the shaft is comprised of hardened alloy 8620, while the shaft end exposed to the elements is 17-4PH Stainless Steel.
